Gusto: The Pioneer’s Rush is the definitive series that captures the real personalities behind the evolution of action-oriented lifestyles. Gusto Episode one profiles Mark Hubbard and Grindline Skateparks. Mark is a unique individual who has helped shape the future of skateboarding and skateboarding culture by designing and building pools since the mid-eighties. His vision, talents, and natural leadership were the impetus for gathering a group of like-minded individuals together: Grindline Skateparks. Mark and Grindline have been instrumental in leading the evolution of modern skateboarding and skatepark construction techniques.
Gusto Episode two profiles Tony Roberts or "TR" as he is known.
TR is a maverick as far as surf photography goes and has been recognized as such since the early eighties. He was the first to take an aggressive and uncommon approach to water photography with his fisheye lens. His photos and films ushered in a new wave of aerial and maneuver oriented surfing introduced in Santa Cruz, California thereby forging the careers of many top professionals. His passion for surfing and skateboarding are evident in his tremendous talent on and off the boards.
This series is composed of stylized biographies made with the highest production value (film and HD origination) and post-production techniques (4:2:2 compositing, HD color correction and Dolby 5:1 surround sound mix). The graphics package, editing and soundtrack all combine to compliment the incredible cinematography and poignant storylines that make up this one of a kind series.
