Daryl Sparkes

Daryl has produced, written and directed over 16 documentaries for all the Australian commercial broadcasters and SBS including “Kings of the Cauldron” (Nine Network,) Brisbane Dreaming (Seven Network), “Pat Rafter’s Australia” (Nine Network) and “Earning a Crust” (Seven Network). His short 35mm film “The Gypsy Circus” was screened at the Cannes Film Festival in 2000 and he also produced a children’s television program “Odd Sox” for the Seven Network. In 2000 Daryl accepted the position of Head of Discipline, Media Production, University of Southern Queensland. Additionally, he is currently completing his PhD in Film and Television at the Queensland University of Technology. Daryl is currently developing a documentary series for Seven Network on the Australian Special Air Services.
