Silence

Dr. Lincoln Stillman implants chips in a major hospital in the near future without realising that these chips are being used by a world government to prevent him and the rest of society from the ability to speak and think autonomously.

But when one day Dr. Stillman receives a package that releases a mysterious gas he slowly realises that he has been living in a police state against his will and that there is an underground movement that is trying to overturn it.

In this frightening age, people have been forced to live in city quarters with others from their own religion. When Dr. Stillman’s  starts questioning the rules people are living by, he’s put under the secret police radar. Eventually Enforcers start hunting him and he flees the Christian sector for the Moslem sector where he is befriend by a Moslem family. There he discovers they are being fed the same propaganda about Christians that he was getting about Moslems.

When a bombing attack destroys the house of his adopted family he risks his life to save them alerting the local secret police of his presence. Enforcers from the Christian and Moslem sectors search for him making Dr. Stillman aware they are all working together at higher levels to propagate a false war.

Again Dr. Stillman is forced to flee. A car chase through the city leads to his escape into the countryside where he is hunted until he finds refuge in a Buddhist monastery where he discovers they have also been ‘chipped’ and their religion perverted to prevent any form of meditation.

The Enforcer eventually tracks him down but he escapes with the help of the underground movement and joins their camp where he discovers his long lost mother is a rebel leader who sent him the gas. She neutralises the chip and he speaks for the first time.
