Sonu In Toon Town follows the adventures of Sonu, a young tiger cub, and his gang of Toon Towners. While Sonu is a doctor, the others pursue a variety of vocations ranging from dousing fires, fixing computers, cooking pizzas, researching science, enhancing beauty and writing comedy! Their take on life is simple: Fun, Friendship and Feeling Good.

Each episode revolves around a story which is exciting with a clear-cut beginning, middle and end. The little twist in the tale is sure to grip the young viewer. Values such as camaraderie, love for nature and the environment, courage, honesty and empathy are subtly tucked in. The language is simple and each episode is interspersed with lilting music and catchy songs to captivate the viewer.

The serial has an undercurrent of humour, which is not of the slapstick variety but one that respects the intelligence of the kids. The episodes are in the 'here and now' and address concerns, which the children can easily empathies with.
