This documentary takes a diverse group of people out of their comfort zones and into one of the most remote locations on the planet. They are removed from their secure lifestyles in Australia and placed in the rugged and unforgiving jungles of Papua New Guinea, the last frontier!
Television host Troy Gray leads a 12-person party along the north coast of Papua New Guinea and the entire length of the unforgiving 96km Kokoda Trail. This trail is one of the world's great treks, linking the southern and northern coast of Papua New Guinea, and has a history of being the site of bitter fighting between the Australian and Japanese armies in World War II. The trail passes through rugged mountainous country, jungles filled wth ferns, orchids, birds and clean mountain streams that tumble into steep valleys.
Our trekkers will visit remote villages that are rarely visited by outsiders and experience the hospitality of the Koiari and Orokaiva people in the 'land of a thousand cultures’.
