Since his wife passed away, Dashun (Chen Shucheng) has been languishing in the nursery where they shared many fond memories. He has four daughters whom he named after flowers, Linglan (Constance Song), Zijing (Ivy Lee), Haitong (Felicia Chin) and Wenzhu (Xu Yahui). Although he loves them very much, he is not adept in expressing himself.

As a pillar of strength for his daughters, Dashun helps them through problems with gambling, marriage, and life's many trials and tribulations without expecting any reciprocation. Just when the family looks set for a happy reunion, Dashun discovers that he has an illegitimate son, Wenhao (Terence Cao), from a past extra-marital affair.

Dashun decides to acknowledge Wenhao when his mother died and introduces him to his family, but that only spells the beginning of trouble for the family...
