Like Father, Like Daughter

Duration: 20x46mins

As a single parent, Jingang (Zheng Geping) has a hard time bringing up his only daughter, Chunchun (Joanne Peh). Chunchun is an intelligent and active child and Jingang hopes to see her pursue a career in medicine or law when she grows up. But due to the bad company he keeps, Jingang is imprisoned and Chunchun is left to fend for herself.

The homeless Chunchun was soon taken in by an eccentric old woman who peddles paper and cardboard for a living. She grows up to be a street smart girl and takes on many odd jobs to earn money. Meanwhile, Jingang was released from jail and looks for his daughter, but Chunchun hides her identity for fear of disappointing him.

The pretty Chunchun pays little attention to her appearance and keeps all her suitors at bay, until she meets Li Kaize (Kang Chengxi), an undergraduate who comes from a wealthy family. But the disparity in their social standing dispels any romantic illusions Chunchun habours towards Kaize.

Will Chunchun eventually acknowledge Jingang? Can she overcome her inferiority and accepts Kaize who has fallen for her?
