Meet Sulin (Kym Ng), a career woman who has planned out of her life to the smallest detail. She knows that it's time to get pregnant. Unfortunately, she finds out she can't get pregnant naturally and has to resort to IVF.

There's Sasha, a pretty young preschool teacher who's ecstatic that she's pregnant, even though she has to deal with some unwanted, though well-meaning advice from her mother-in-law.

Ally (Suzanne Walker) is a lounge singer who's just been dumped by her married British boyfriend. He's left her with thousands of dollars in debt. Ally's also got a sick mother to take care of, so she resorts to being a surrogate to pay her bills.

And finally we have Tanya, a pregnant unwed teenager who finds herself all alone when her father throws her boyfriend Andrew into jail for statutory and she makes a decision to leave the house.

These four women meet and talk and share their experiences and formed the First Mum's club.
