More Than Horseplay

Language: English
Year: 2007

In a world first scientific study, straight from the horse's mouth, we explore the benefits of riding horses for children with cerebral palsy. To ensure the innovative study is statistically significant the Riding for the Disabled Association recruited more than 90 children with cerebral palsy and their families, as well as more than 60 volunteers and over 25 horses. None of the children had ever ridden a horse before but by the end of the ten week study the children are visibly riding with confidence.

The audience will witness the sheer joy they experience through the closeness and warmth provided by the horses. Overall the profound impact will enrich all lives. For some the transformation will be physical and for others poignantly emotional but all will share a common dream, to continue horse riding in the future.

This is a film with a wonderful combination of ground breaking science, and the visible delight of children learning to ride a horse. This touching subject is filled with energy and vitality and will thrill the audience.
