Carlos Alperin Managing Director
In 2000 Carlos Alperin founded Galloping Films, a production and international sales agency company, in Brisbane, Australia. As a Producer, Carlos produced in 2006 the multi-award winning documentary film "Raul the Terrible" directed by twice Academy Award nominee David Bradbury. In 2009 he diversified into feature film production when he produced the thriller "ICU" directed by Aash Aaron (Australia) and in 2010 the comedy "The Cost of Living" directed by Veronica Craven (United States).
As an international Sales Agent, Galloping Films represents a catalog of 127 Documentaries, 59 Feature Films, 17 Lifestyle programs, 9 Sitcoms and 37 Drama Series from independent producers from the four corners of the world. Since 1994, Carlos has participated at more than 60 film and TV markets including AFM (Los Angeles), Berlinale (Berlin), Marche du Film (Cannes), Asian Film Market (Korea), Filmart (Hong Kong), Ventana Sur (Buenos Aires), TIFFCOM (Tokyo), MipTV (Cannes), MIPCOM (Cannes), IDFA (Amsterdam) and Hot Docs (Toronto), where he licensed dozens of feature films, documentaries and TV programs to international buyers.
Galloping Films’ catalogue is represented by Filmbeat (Latin America) and Amadeus Entertainment (UK). Galloping Films represents the catalog of high caliber broadcaster such as MediaCorp (Singapore) and of distributors such as Lifesize Entertainment and New World Distribution (United States).
In 2010 Carlos joined forces with Roham (Rome) Ghodsi and founded Galloping Illusions, a production and finance company located in Brisbane. Since then, the company was successful in securing international investors that can provide cash backed Standby Letters of Credit to raise production budgets to produce feature films, high end documentaries and TV programs.
In 2012 and again in 2013 Carlos was chosen as one of the Jurors at the prestigious International Emmy Awards.
As a Producer, Sales Agent and Financier, Carlos provides a powerful combination of creative energy and business savvy. He is an outstanding negotiator with an experienced eye for content and talent.
