One is Lt Henry Tasman who takes charge of Beacon Hill, a colonial outpost being abandoned amongst rumours of strange going-ons. Before long, the warnings of the drunken captain come true, as disturbing visions of Henry’s dead wife and daughter confront him. His sanity is strained when a boatload of faceless convicts come ashore near the outpost. Led by the sinister and taunting ex-priest, Chester Biggs, the ghastly crew play a dangerous “cat and mouse” game in the shadows of the fort, with Henry’s mind as the ultimate stakes.

The second is a young researcher, many years later, with an unhealthy obsession about the dark deeds of the fort. After studying the old journal of Lt Henry, Melanie is consumed with bringing the truth about the hauntings to light. To this end, she hatches a devilish scheme to kidnap her boyfriend and his mother, and force them to take part in a séance at the old fort. No one could have imagined what dark secrets the ghosts would whisper that night.
