Synopsis
On one side of the river, the government wants to build a dam to provide hydro-electric power to the whole region. On the other, a group of women say that this would kill the ecosystem and livelihoods of thousands of people.

 

This documentary is about the battle for the Namada River. For two decades, these women fought against the armed might of the State and the big business and construction industry.
